Programming can be a challenging and intimidating field, but with the right mindset, it can also be incredibly rewarding. In programming, there are two key factors: Confidence and Competence.

Confidence refers to your belief in your own abilities and your willingness to take on new challenges. Competence, on the other hand, is your actual skill level and the knowledge you have of different programming languages and concepts. Both are important, but they don't always go hand in hand.

The 4 Phases of Coding are:

The Hand Holding Honeymoon-a joy-filled romp via tutorials
The Cliff of Confusion-painful realization that it's a lot harder
The Desert of Despair-a long journey through a pathless landscape
The Upswing of Awesome-finally found a path through the desert
